Situated adjacent to Casa Abelia is the Valderamma Golf Club – the most renowned course in Sotogrande. This magnificent 18-hole course, created by Jaime Ortiz Patino and designed by Robert Trent Jones, was voted number 1 in Continental Europe 2011 by Golf Monthly, and has hosted several tournaments such as the European Tour’s Volvo Masters, Ryder Cup 1997, Amex World Championships and Andalucia Masters.

The Real (Royal) Golf Club of Sotogrande, located near the Sotogrande marina, was the first course in Europe to be designed by Robert Trent Jones. This well maintained 18-hole course is only open to visitors during the weekend and is well known for its gorgeous natural beauty of its surroundings. It has been rated as one of the top 10 courses in Europe and is a must visit for those on golf holidays in Costa del Sol.

Almenara Golf, designed by renowned golfing innovator Dave Thomas, is a gorgeous golf course consisting of 27 holes, enabling three different 18-hole combinations all with a par of 72.  This pay and play course is a great challenge even for the most experienced golfers.

La Reserva Golf Club is an excellent place for members, friends and golf fans to meet and is a must visit for those on a golf holiday in Sotogrande. This 18-hole top class course was designed by Cabell Robinson.

The San Roque Club has two 18-hole championship courses, and is a great test of golf, even for the best players. The Old Course, designed by Dave Thomas, was opened for play in 1990 and has been used on many occasions for professional tournaments. In 2003 the New Course was opened, and is said to be one of the finest and most beautiful new courses in Europe. Designed by Perry Dye, the San Roque New perfectly complements the old course and is suitable for both beginners and advanced golfers.

La Canada is an 18-hole great value course, whose original 9 holes were designed by Robert Trent Jones. This original layout was extended in 2002, by the addition of 9 holes by Dave Thomas. The 18th hole here has fine views of the Mediterranean Sea in the background.
